Small and medium-sized companies can apply for support for energy efficiency

EENergy awards over 900 grants of up to 10,000 euros to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for efforts that reduce energy consumption by at least 5 percent. The project is EU-funded and spans the whole of Europe.

What can you apply for?

The grant can be used for investment in, for example, new energy-efficient equipment such as solar panels, but also includes consulting services, training or a combination of these.

Who can apply?

  • The company must meet the EU definition for SMEs (companies employing fewer than 250 people and whose annual turnover does not exceed EUR 50 million or whose balance sheet does not exceed EUR 43 million per year).
  • The company must have been active since 1 January 2023.
  • Applications from energy-intensive SMEs are particularly desirable.

How much can you apply for?

  • You can apply for support of up to 10,000 euros with 100 percent financing.
  • The requirement for the application is that the business can show an action plan for energy savings of at least 5 percent.

50 percent of applications are approved through a random selection. Unapproved applications may receive continued support from an Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) advisor to find other funding to implement the action plan.
