If you intend to sell, install and repair an alarm system, you require a permit from the Swedish Police.

How to apply

Complete an application form at polisen.se. Send the application by e-mail or regular mail to the police in the region in which the permit will apply.

Information about the permit

An alarm system installation business may not be operated without a permit. There are separate rules that apply to security companies.

Registration and supervision

The Swedish Police determine the issuance of permits and also exercise supervision.
