Property owners who want to clean/sweep chimneys in their own properties must apply for a permit from the municipality.

Send your application to the municipality.

The municipality may grant a permit if the cleaning/chimney-sweeping can be done in a safe manner from a fire protection point of view. The municipality generally takes into account the risk situation, the combustion plant\'s complexity and the individual\'s knowledge of the prerequisites for performing the task.

The municipality issues the permit and is also the supervisory authority.
