Fireworks
How to apply
Send the application by e-mail or regular mail to the police in the region where the permit will apply. The police will not begin processing the application until you have paid the application fee.
Outdoor fireworks
You need a permit if upon consideration of the time, place and other circumstances, launching these would create a risk of injury, damage or other inconvenience to persons or property. There can also be differences from one municipality to another, as there are local regulations regarding when and where fireworks may be launched.
If you are not certain whether you need to apply for a permit, you can contact your municipality or the police.
Indoor fireworks
A permit is required for public gatherings or public events at which fireworks will be used indoors. There are certain occasions where exceptions can be made after a determination by the police. You should always contact the police in advance, in order to check what rules apply to your gathering or event.
Fireworks at sporting events
Pyrotechnical products may not be taken along to, or used at, sporting events, unless the police have granted a permit for this.
