Import of weapons
Importing or for any other reason bringing firearms into Sweden requires a special import licence. The licence is issued by the Swedish Police.

You always have a duty to report your weapon at the border crossing to the Swedish Customs Service, both on entry and exit.
If you plan to import firearms permanently into Sweden for private use, such as for hunting or target-shooting purposes, you must apply for a permit (license) to possess firearms in Sweden.
