How to apply
Send your application for authorization to the county administrative board in the county in which your vehicle scrappage business will primarily take place. Information about authorization
Worn-out motor vehicles can be left with an authorized vehicle scrapper or reception location, i.e., a place designated by the manufacturers to receive worn-out motor vehicles. Worn-out motor vehicles includes passenger cars, buses and trucks, the total weight of which does not exceed 3,500 kg and which are classified as waste.
Anyone who sets up an undertaking engaged in vehicle scrappage must be authorized by the county administrative board in the county in which the activity will primarily take place.
Requirements
To be authorized as a vehicle scrapper, you must have a facility that fulfils the environmental requirements set by the municipal environmental office. You must also show that you have the right to make use of the facility and have a building permit for the facility. Furthermore, for example, the responsible people in the company may not be minors, declared bankrupt or be under trusteeship.
