Swedish Chamber of Commerce

There are approximately 30 foreign Chambers of Commerce in Sweden, all based in Stockholm. They provide support to foreign companies who would like to set up a business in Sweden. However, Swedish companies are also welcome to contact the foreign chambers of commerce.

Nyföretagarcentrum has offices all over Sweden where you can receive advice on how to start your own enterprise. All our offices are run by the local enterprises, which ensure our clients solid advises based on experience and a fast track into the so important local entrepreneurial network.

PRV, provides information about patents, trademarks, designs, and copyright in other countries. PRV also offer information regarding intellectual property rights when entering a new market. You can get help to research the intended market and find information about different alternatives to protect your product or service.

The Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket)

The Swedish Tax Agency provides support with taxation,, VAT, and excise duties on import and export. The Swedish Tax Agency can inform you about import and export, EU trade, and how to report to the Tax Agency in a simple and flexible way with their e-services. You can also get information about which VAT rules apply when you sell goods to countries outside the EU, what excise products are available and what applies to them.

The Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket)

The Swedish Customs (Tullverket)

The Swedish Customs can help you when exporting and importing your goods to and from Sweden. They provide information on product codes, customs duties, and import and export licenses. You can obtain information about the electronic export declaration, EORI number for identification in the Swedish customs declarations, and product code and classification. The Swedish Customs also provide information about how to send the customs declaration electronically, the EDI and TID systems, and which goods are subject to export restrictions.

You may need to apply for recognition of professional qualifications to sell certain types of services in the EU. Different rules and requirements may apply in different countries depending on whether you offer the service temporarily or more permanent. The Swedish Council for higher Education (UHR) is responsible for professional qualifications in Sweden. UHR can answer questions about working within a regulated profession in Sweden or in another EU/EEA country.
