Support from a transition organisation
In the event of termination, the employee can apply for support to find a new job, to study or to start their own business.
Employees who are made redundant due to a lack of work, illness or because a fixed-term employment contract ends may be entitled to transition support through the collective agreement to which they are affiliated. Contact the adjustment organisation covered by your collective agreement for more information.
If there is no collective agreement, employees may be entitled to basic transition support from the Public Transition Organisation. The support includes meetings with a personal advisor, so that they can find a new job, start studying or start their own business.
What you can do to help your employees is to:
- inform them about the transition support and tell them that it is available
- write employment certificates and employer certificates that they can use when applying.
Information about basic transition support and the organisation's services can be found on the Public Transition Organisation's website nysteget.se.
If you are unsure which transition organisation is covered by your collective agreement, there is a web service where you can find the right one. You fill in your employer or organisation number and the correct transition organisation will be displayed.
